About Us
I started in the furniture business in 1972 at Fox Lake Furniture. I still have customers from there that come in to see me today! I then opened in Round Lake Beach in 1975. After 2 1/2 years I moved to my Libertyville location which was in July 1977. What started as a small 4,200 square foot store eventually grew into a 90,000 square foot super store which made us the largest furniture store in Northern Illinois.
Then the times started changing when the furniture industry went to China. This hurt all furniture stores volume. My last 3 years in business were not profitable at all and sold the 90,000 square foot building in July, 2008 and tried being retired. Even though I have 4 wonderful grandchildren (pictured here), I missed going to work, so as Michael Jordan once said, "I'm back."
